Sitting directly across from our studios on Ross Street, the Pocket Park provides a new green space for our local community in the Barras to gather, connect and create new relationships.

Movement of Freedom

Since 2019, we have been working in partnership with Deveron Projects and independent researcher, Gianluca Palombo, to create a Manifesto and Toolkit to both advocate against the UK Home Office Hostile Environment and to navigate the UKVI Visa and Immigration system in the context of working internationally as creative organisations in Scotland.

Ross Street Market

Many Studios launched an outdoor arts and food market in December 2016. Ross Street Market began with a 6-month design and build project commissioned by Many Studios to the University of Strathclyde. Six striking, modular stalls were created in consideration of the changing climate of the Barras Market and sought to celebrate and expand upon the existing identity of the Barras Market.

3 Ross Street

As part of the legacy of the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games, the wide ranging placemaking and programming skills of the organisation were employed to develop and operate a new creative hub in the East End of the city. Since 2016, the hub has played a major part in the development of The Barras neighbourhood as a new cultural destination through the building of a creative community alongside public events, outdoor markets, unique partnerships and international collaborations.

East End First Saturdays

In 2016, Many Studios initiated East End First Saturdays (EEFS), a creative partnership across the East End which brings together diverse content on the first Saturday of each month. East End First Saturdays was been conceived to build new audiences and community spirit and to promote the diversity of the East End.
