MANY Studios is a creative organisation founded in 2010 as a not-for-profit business focused on providing affordable work space to recent graduates and some of the city’s most talented start up creative businesses. We currently have 40 unique spaces and over 60 members as well as supporting a number of projects including The Telfer Gallery and the MANY Graduate Residency Programme. We also have a number of event and meeting spaces and produce an annual arts programme.
Studios - fostering a vibrant community of creative practitioners
MANY Studios offers spaces for a wide range of creative practitioners, providing an environment conducive to professional development, enhancing understanding and awareness of national and international contemporary arts practice and providing professional development opportunities through constructive informal dialogue and an accessible programme of participative, critical and creative projects.
Programme - annual curated arts programme and creative partnerships
MANY Studios' programme explores creative thinking across interdisciplinary practice and access to arts both within a local context, and internationally through an annual programme of exhibitions, international collaborations, discussions, seminars and live art events.
Residency - practice specific mentorship programme
The MANY Studios Graduate Residency Programme is an on-site 9 month residency, based around mentorship from invited artists, curators and academics. The aim is to provide a fluid structure, responding to the residents’ own practice in order to provide stimulating guidance from established practitioners, their peers and contemporaries.
MARKET – RETAIL PITCHES @ THE BARRAS MARKET
The Barras Market has a long tradition in the East End of Glasgow, starting in the early part of the 20th Century. Today the Barras Market is still active, and known throughout the world. MANY Studios have 14 pitches on Ross Street and Kent Street and we’re particularly interested in showcasing creativity through our market pitches, and bringing a more diverse range of food and drink to the market area.
